REASONS FOR JUDGMENT LOCKHART J.

This matter came before me on 26 November, 1987 for directions. There was no appearance by or on behalf of the applicant. The respondent was represented by a solicitor in the employ of the

Australian Government Solicitor. I then specially fixed the matter

for hearing today and gave directions to the respondent to inform the

applicant by letter sent by certified mail of the orders which I had

then made.

The matter came on for hearing this afternoon. There was no

appearance by or on behalf of the applicant notwithstanding that his mame was called in the customary fashion. The directions given by the court on 26 November were in substance complied with by the respondent. Miss Watson has given evidence today in the witness box

of a conversation she had recently with Mr. Zivanov.
