AND FOR SECURITY FOR COSTS These proceedings are brought by a footballer and his corporate manager. Maurice Rioli is a name well known in Western Australian football circles. On 30 April 1986 he and his manager, Arfmas Pty Ltd (""Arfmas"), commenced proceedings against the
Victorian Football League in the Western Australian Registry of
the Federal Court.
By their statement of claim, Rioli and Arfmas say that he was resident in Western Australia and played football here for South Fremantle Football Club for a number of years until 1981. He then transferred to Victoria and played for the Richmond
