In 1992 the Migration Act 1958 (the Act) was amended by the Migration Amendment Act, (No 3) No 85 of 1992, by introducing Part 2A: "Migration Agents and Immigration Assistance". The legislation requires persons who wish to give immigration assistance to be registered as migration agents; and it
