Catchwords: MIGRATION – appeal from the Federal Magistrates Court – whether the Federal Magistrate failed to afford the appellant natural justice and erred by not finding that the Independent Merits Reviewer did not address the appellant's claims that he had a well-founded fear of persecution as a member of a particular social group – whether the Reviewer's findings in relation to the appellant as a 'Tamil from the north of Sri Lanka' addressed his claims as a 'young Tamil male from the north of Sri Lanka' Held: there was no jurisdictional error because the Reviewer applied the independent country information to the appellant's particular factual circumstances
