An Act to amend the Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986, and for related purposes

[Assented to 4 September 2001]

The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the Veterans' Affairs Legislation Amendment (2001 Budget Measures) Act 2001.

2 Commencement

(1) Sections 1, 2 and 3 and Schedules 1 and 3 commence on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.

(2) Schedule 2 is taken to have commenced on 1 July 2001.

(3) Items 1 and 3 of Schedule 4 commence at the later of: (a) the time that is immediately after the commencement of Schedule 1 to this Act; and (b) the time when Parts 4 to 10 of the Administrative Review Tribunal Act 2001 commence.

(4) Item 2 of Schedule 4 commences at the later of: (a) the time that is immediately after the commencement of Schedule 3 to this Act; and (b) the time when Parts 4 to 10 of the Administrative Review Tribunal Act 2001 commence.
