The Parliament of Australia enacts:
1 Short title
This Act may be cited as the Health Care (Appropriation) Amendment Act 2002.
2 Commencement
This Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
3 Schedule(s)
Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its terms.
Schedule 1—Amendment of the Health Care (Appropriation) Act 1998
1 Subsection 4(3) Omit "$29,655,056,000", substitute "$31,800,000,000".
2 At the end of section 4 Add:
(5) The Minister must present to each House of the Parliament as soon as practicable after 30 June 2003 a statement of the total amount paid by way of financial assistance under this section. (177/02)
