COMMONWEALTH GRANTS COMMISSION AMENDMENT ACT 1977

An Act relating to the membership of the Commonwealth Grants Commission.
BE IT ENACTED by the Queen, and the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:
Short title 1. This Act may be cited as the Commonwealth Grants Commission Amendment Act 1977.
Commencement 2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
Membership of Commission 3. Section 8 of the Commonwealth Grants Commission Act 1973 is amended— (a) by omitting from sub-section (1) "not less than four or more than seven" and substituting "not less than two or more than four"; and (b) by omitting from paragraph (b) of sub-section (6) "the number of members falling below four" and substituting "the number of other members falling below two".
