An Act to amend the Companies and Securities (Interpretation and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1980

BE IT ENACTED by the Queen and the Senate and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:
Short title, &c. 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Companies and Securities (Interpretation and Miscellaneous Provisions) Amendment Act (No. 2) 1981. (2) The Companies and Securities (Interpretation and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 19801 is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.
Commencement 2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which the Companies Act 1981 comes into operation.
Definitions 3. Section 9 of the Principal Act is amended— (a) by omitting "Companies Ordinance 1962" from the definition of "constituent documents" and substituting "Companies Act 1981"; and (b) by omitting the definition of "'the Territory' or 'the Australian Capital Territory'" and substituting the following definition: "'the Territory' or 'the Australian Capital Territory' means the Territory accepted by the Commonwealth pursuant to the Seat of Government Act 1909 and described in the Second Schedule to that Act, and includes the Jervis Bay Territory.".
