1 Short title [see Note 1]

This Act may be cited as the Financial Services Reform Act 2001.

2 Commencement [see Note 1]

(1) The following provisions: (a) this section and section 1; (b) Part 1 of Schedule 3; commence: (c) unless paragraph (d) applies—on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent; or (d) if that day is the day on which the Corporations Act 2001 commences or an earlier day—immediately after the commencement of that Act.

(2) Subject to subsections (3) to (6), the remaining provisions of this Act commence on a day or days to be fixed by Proclamation.
