The Parliament of Australia enacts:
1 Short title
This Act may be cited as the Non‑Proliferation Legislation Amendment Act 2007.
2 Commencement
(1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1, item 28 The day on which the amendments done at Vienna on 8 July 2005 to the Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material take effect for the purposes of the Nuclear Non‑Proliferation (Safeguards) Act 1987 in accordance with paragraph 4(3)(b) of that Act. 8 May 2016 However, the provision(s) do not commence at all if that event does not occur. 4. Schedule 1, items 29 to 54 The day after this Act receives the Royal Assent. 11 April 2007
