An Act to amend the Nation‑building Funds Act 2008, and for related purposes

The Parliament of Australia enacts:
1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Nation‑building Funds Amendment Act 2009.
2 Commencement This Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
3 Schedule(s) Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its terms.
Schedule 1—Amendments
Nation‑building Funds Act 2008
1 Section 130 Omit:
• One or more initial amounts are to be credited to the Education Investment Fund Special Account by 30 June 2009. The total of the initial amounts must equal $2.5 billion.
2 Section 133 Repeal the section. Note: The heading to section 134 is altered by omitting "Subsequent credits" and substituting "Credits".
