An Act to amend the law in relation to private health insurance, and for related purposes

The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Private Health Insurance Legislation Amendment Act 2009.

2 Commencement (1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1, item 13 The later of: 1 July 2009 (a) 1 July 2009; and (b) the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. 5. Schedule 1, item 14 At the same time as sections 3 to 9 of the Private Health Insurance (National Joint Replacement Register Levy) Act 2009 commence. 1 July 2009
