An Act to amend the International Monetary Agreements Act 1947, and for related purposes

The Parliament of Australia enacts:
1 Short title This Act may be cited as the International Monetary Agreements Amendment Act 2009.
2 Commencement This Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
3 Schedule(s) Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its terms.
Schedule 1—Amendments
International Monetary Agreements Act 1947
1 Subsection 3(1) (at the end of the definition of Bank Agreement) Add "and as amended by any other amendment of the Articles of Agreement that has entered into force for Australia".
2 Subsection 3(1) (at the end of the definition of Fund Agreement) Add ", as amended by any amendment of the Articles of Agreement that has entered into force for Australia".
3 Application The amendments made by this Schedule apply in relation to amendments that enter into force for Australia on or after the commencement of this item (regardless of whether the amendments were proposed before, on or after that commencement).
