An Act to amend the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004, and for related purposes

The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Amendment (MRCA Supplement) Act 2011.

2 Commencement This Act commences on the day this Act receives the Royal Assent.

3 Schedule(s) Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Amendments

Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004

1 At the end of subsection 222(5) Add: ; or (d) seniors supplement under the Social Security Act 1991 or the Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986; or (e) a social security payment (within the meaning of the Social Security Act 1991) for which a pension supplement amount (within the meaning of that Act) is used to work out the rate of the payment; or (f) a service pension (within the meaning of the Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986).

2 At the end of subsection 246(4) Add: ; or (d) seniors supplement under the Social Security Act 1991 or the Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986; or (e) a social security payment (within the meaning of the Social Security Act 1991) for which a pension supplement amount (within the meaning of that Act) is used to work out the rate of the payment; or (f) a service pension (within the meaning of the Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986).
