An Act to amend the law relating to the Commonwealth's financial framework and governance arrangements, and for other purposes

The Parliament of Australia enacts:
1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Financial Framework Legislation Amendment Act (No. 1) 2012.
2 Commencement (1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1 A single day to be fixed by Proclamation. 4 October 2012 However, if the provision(s) do not commence within the period of 6 months beginning on the day this Act receives the Royal Assent, they commence on the day after the end of that period. 3. Schedule 2, Part 1 The day after this Act receives the Royal Assent. 5 April 2012 4. Schedule 2, Part 2 A single day to be fixed by Proclamation. 4 October 2012 However, if the provision(s) do not commence within the period of 6 months beginning on the day this Act receives the Royal Assent, they commence on the day after the end of that period. 5. Schedule 3, item 1 Immediately after the time specified in the Financial Framework Legislation Amendment Act 2010 for the commencement of item 7 of Schedule 5 to that Act. 1 March 2011 6. Schedule 3, item 2 Immediately after the time specified in the Financial Framework Legislation Amendment Act 2010 for the commencement of item 8 of Schedule 5 to that Act. 1 March 2011 7. Schedule 4 The day after this Act receives the Royal Assent. 5 April 2012 8. Schedule 5 The day this Act receives the Royal Assent. 4 April 2012
