An Act to amend legislation relating to Aboriginal land rights and other legislation, and for related purposes
[Assented to 28 June 2013]
The Parliament of Australia enacts:
1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Aboriginal Land Rights and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2013.
2 Commencement This Act commences on the day after this Act receives the Royal Assent.
3 Schedule(s) Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its terms.
Schedule 1—Amendments relating to Jabiru
Part 1—Amendments
Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976
1 Subsection 3(1) Insert: category A Jabiru land means land specified in an instrument under subsection 3AD(1).
2 Subsection 3(1) Insert: category B Jabiru land means land specified in an instrument under subsection 3AD(2).
3 Subsection 3(1) Insert: category C Jabiru land means land specified in an instrument under subsection 3AD(3).
4 Subsection 3(1) Insert: Jabiru Town Development Authority means the Jabiru Town Development Authority established by the Jabiru Town Development Act (NT).
