An Act to amend the Fair Work (Building Industry) Act 2012, and for related purposes

The Parliament of Australia enacts:
1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Construction Industry Amendment (Protecting Witnesses) Act 2015.
2 Commencement This Act commences on the day this Act receives the Royal Assent.
3 Schedules Legislation that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its terms.
Schedule 1—Amendments
Fair Work (Building Industry) Act 2012
1 Section 46 Omit "3 years", substitute "5 years".
2 At the end of section 46 Add: Note: As section 45 commenced on 1 June 2012, the Director may not make an application under that section after 1 June 2017.
