CRIMES (FORENSIC PROCEDURES) REGULATIONS 2002 Regulations No. 2 of 2002 ________
I, Anthony John Messner, acting in accordance with the advice of the Executive Council of Norfolk Island, make the following regulations under the Crimes (Forensic Procedures) Act 2002.

Short title 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Crimes (Forensic Procedures) Regulations 2002. Commencement
2. These Regulations shall commence operation on the day on which notification of their being made is published in the Gazette.
Interpretation 3. In these Regulations — "the Crimes (Forensic Procedures) Regulations 2000" means the Crimes (Forensic Procedures) Regulations 2000 of the Australian Capital Territory, as at 9 April 2002.
Application of the Crimes (Forensic Procedures) Regulations 2000 4. The provisions of the Crimes (Forensic Procedures) Regulations 2000 apply, by force of these Regulations, in Norfolk Island as a law of Norfolk Island, subject to the modifications prescribed in Schedule 1. Application to offences
5. To remove any doubt, these Regulations are intended to apply to offences committed before or after the commencement of these Regulations.
SCHEDULE ONE (Regulation 4) In the application in Norfolk Island of the Crimes (Forensic Procedures) Regulations 2000 – (a) a reference in those Regulations to the Australian Capital Territory or Territory shall be read as a reference to Norfolk Island; (b) a reference in regulation 3 of those Regulations to "the police force or police service of a State" shall be read to include the Police Force of Norfolk Island; and (c) a reference in those Regulations to "these Regulations" shall be read as referring to the Crimes (Forensic Procedures) Regulations 2000 in their application to Norfolk Island. _______________________________________________________________________
