An Act to amend the law relating to veterans' affairs and military rehabilitation and compensation, and for related purposes

The Parliament of Australia enacts:
1 Short title This Act is the Veterans' Affairs Legislation Amendment (Budget Measures) Act 2017.
2 Commencement (1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

However, the provisions do not commence at all if the event mentioned in paragraph (b) does not occur. 4. Schedule 1, items 19 to 68 1 July 2017. 1 July 2017 5. Schedule 2 1 July 2017. 1 July 2017 6. Schedule 3, items 1 to 10 1 July 2017. 1 July 2017 7. Schedule 3, items 11 to 25 The later of: 12 October 2017 (a) immediately after the commencement of the provisions covered by table item 6; and (paragraph (b) applies) (b) immediately after the commencement of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Legislation Amendment (Defence Force) Act 2017.
