Lotteries And Fundraising Regulations 1987 ____________________________________________________________
Short title 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Lotteries and Fundraising Regulations 1987.
Interpretation 2. (1) In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears, "Act" means the Lotteries and Fundraising Act 1987. (2) In these Regulations, a reference to a form by number is a reference to a form so numbered in the Schedule. (3) For the purposes of these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears, words, expressions and provisions contained in these Regulations have the same interpretation, application and effect as they have under the Act.
Game of chance 3. (1) For the purposes of these Regulations and the Act, "housie" is a prescribed game of chance. (2) For the purposes of subregulation (1), "housie" means a game of chance played with cards bearing rows of numbers, the winner being the person first to have a card on which all, or a specified set, of those numbers have been drawn, and includes the game of "lotto", "bingo" or a similar game by any name or description.
