Currency Regulations2 (Amendment)
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Currency Act 1965.

Commencement 1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 January 1986.
Designs of coins 2. Regulation 4 of the Currency Regulations is amended— (a) by inserting in sub-paragraph (d) (viiiba) ", other than a coin referred to in sub-paragraph (viiibb)" after "$1"; and (b) by inserting after sub-paragraph (d) (viiiba) the following sub-paragraph: "(viiibb) in the case of a coin of the denomination of $1 that refers on its obverse side to the year 1986 as the year of the coin—the inscriptions 'INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF PEACE' and 'ONE DOLLAR' and a representation of a dove being released from a pair of hands surrounded by a laurel wreath;".
