I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Currency Act 1965.

Designs of coins 1. Regulation 4 of the Currency Regulations is amended: (a) by inserting after subparagraph 4 (c) (iab) the following subparagraph: "(iac) in the case of a coin of the denomination of $5—an effigy of the Queen and the inscriptions 'ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA' and '5 DOLLARS', all encircled by raised beads inside the rim of the coin;"; (b) by inserting after subparagraph (d) (viiibd) the following subparagraph: "(viiibda) in the case of a coin of the denomination of $5, other than a coin referred to in subparagraph (viiibe)—the inscription 'THE AUSTRALIAN NUGGET 1/20 OZ. 9999 GOLD', an inscription of the name of a species of macropod marsupial and a representation of an animal of that species superimposed on a sunburst design, and a reference (in figures) to the

year of the coin, all encircled by raised beads inside the rim of the coin;"; (c) by omitting subparagraph (viiif) and substituting the following paragraph: "(viiif) in the case of a coin of the denomination of $15, other than a coin referred to in subparagraph (viiifa): (a) the inscription 'THE AUSTRALIAN NUGGET 1/10 OZ. 9999 GOLD', a representation of an Australian gold nugget and an inscription of the name of the nugget and the year (in figures) of its discovery superimposed on a sunburst design, and a reference (in figures) to the year of the coin, all encircled by raised beads inside the rim of the coin; or (b) the inscription 'THE AUSTRALIAN NUGGET 1/10 OZ. 9999 GOLD', an inscription of the name of a species of macropod marsupial and a representation of an animal of that species superimposed on a sunburst design, and a reference (in figures) to the year of the coin, all encircled by raised beads inside the rim of the coin;"; (d) by omitting subparagraph (viiig) and substituting the following paragraph: "(viiig) in the case of a coin of the denomination of $25, other than a coin referred to in subparagraph (viiiga): (a) the inscription 'THE AUSTRALIAN NUGGET 1/4 OZ. 9999 GOLD', a representation of an Australian gold nugget and an inscription of the name of the nugget and the year (in figures) of its discovery superimposed on a sunburst design, and a reference (in figures) to the year of the coin, all encircled by raised beads inside the rim of the coin; or (b) the inscription 'THE AUSTRALIAN NUGGET 1/4 OZ. 9999 GOLD', an inscription of the name of a species of macropod marsupial and a representation of an animal of that species superimposed on a sunburst design, and a reference (in figures) to the year of the coin, all encircled by raised beads inside the rim of the coin;"; (e) by omitting subparagraph (viiih) and substituting the following subparagraph: "(viiih) in the case of a coin of the denomination of $50, other than a coin referred to in subparagraph (viiiha):
