Currency Regulations 2 (Amendment)
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Currency Act 1965.

1. Amendment 1.1 The Currency Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.
[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s.48.]
2. Regulation 4 (Designs of coins) 2.1 Subparagraph 4 (b) (ii): After "(d) (viiibcaa)", insert "or (d) (viiibcab)".
2.2 After subparagraph 4 (b) (ii), insert: "(iia)in the case of a coin of the denomination of $1, referred to in subparagraph (d) (viiibcab) and issued as standard issue—7 coarse milled segments each approximately 6.8 millimetres in length separated by 7 plain segments each approximately 4.5 millimetres in length; and".
2.3 Subparagraphs 4 (d) (i) to (xxb) (inclusive): Add at the end of each subparagraph "and".
2.4 Subparagraph 4 (d) (viiiba): After "(viiibcaa)", insert ", (viiibcab)".
2.5 After subparagraph 4 (d) (viiibcaa), insert: "(viiibcab)in the case of a coin of the denomination of $1 that refers to 1992 as the year of the coin, the composition of which is 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metal—the inscriptions "XXV OLYMPIAD BARCELONA" and "1 DOLLAR" and a representation of an athlete poised to throw a javelin; and".
3. Regulation 7 (The Schedule to the Act) 3.1 Subregulation 7 (9) (second occurring): Omit "(9)", substitute "(10)".
