AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Lycoming Piston Engines AD/LYC/111 Lycoming Engines Last Overhauled by Provence Aero Maintenance France 4/2005
Applicability: All Textron Lycoming piston engines, last overhauled on or after 01 October 1997 by Provence Aéro Maintenance, France; and,
All engine parts for Textron Lycoming piston engines released on or after 01 October 1997 by Provence Aéro Maintenance, France.
Note 1: Provence Aéro Maintenance has been operating at the following two addresses:
* 13728 Marignane, France.
* Route des Cravons, 13130 Berre l'Etang, France. Requirement: 1. Submit the following information to DGAC SFACT / N.ME on Fax Number 0011-33-1-5809-4319 and obtain the last date for conformity inspection and serviceability restoration.
(a) JAA Form 1 copy,
(b) Flight hours since last overhaul,
(c) Details of maintenance done since last overhaul,
(d) Details on significant maintenance actions, findings of improperly performed work and steps taken for restoration, if any.
2. Send engine(s) and engine part(s) to CASA approved engine overhaul shop for conformity inspection and restoration.
