Aerospatiale (Socata) TBM 700 Series Aeroplanes AD/TBM 700/40 Floor Panels and Cargo 6/2005 Strap Rings Attachment
Applicability: Models TBM 700 B and C aircraft variants, with serial numbers 126, 129, 137, 143 through 145, 148 through 268, 270 through 295, 298, and 299. Requirement: Replace the cargo floor panel single lug anchor nuts and the two rear strap rings in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions of SOCATA Service Bulletin TBM 700 No. 70-125.
Note: DGAC AD F-2005-050 refers. Compliance: At the next 600 hour inspection after 9 June 2005, but not later than 28 February 2006. This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 9 June 2005. Background: During production, single lug 5mm diameter anchor nuts were installed in lieu of 4.8 mm anchor nuts. As a consequence, some cargo compartment floor panels and rear strap ring anchor nuts may loosen, with resultant premature deterioration of the self-locking capability.
