AD/G1159/44 - Adel Wiggins Floor Heater Pad System (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Gulfstream (Grumman) G1159 and G-IV Series Aeroplanes AD/G1159/44 Adel Wiggins Floor Heater Pad System 11/2005 DM

Applicability: Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation model/series aeroplanes as follows: Model/Series Serial Numbers

G-IV All GIV-X 4001 through 4023 inclusive GV All GV-SP 5001 through 5075 inclusive Requirement: 1. Perform an inspection to determine if an Adel Wiggins floor heater pad system is installed. A review of aeroplane maintenance records is acceptable in lieu of this inspection if the presence of Adel Wiggins floor heater pads can be conclusively determined from that review. 2. If an Adel Wiggins floor heater pad system is found during the Requirement 1 inspection/determination - deactivate the Adel Wiggins floor heater pad system in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions of the applicable Alert Customer Bulletin (ACB) identified below, unless Requirement 3 applies.
