AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Dornier 328 Series Aeroplanes AD/DO 328/38 Main Landing Gear Trailing Arm Bushes 1/2006
Applicability: All Model 328-100 aircraft. Requirement: Inspect in accordance with Dornier Alert Service Bulletin No. ASB-328-32-019 Revision 1.
Note 1: The replacement of the bushes in accordance with SB-328-32-288 terminates the requirements of ASB-328-32-019 Revision 1.
Note 2: LBA AD 1997-327/3 refers. Compliance: At the next C-Check after 19 January 2006, for the initial inspection, unless already accomplished. For aircraft that have completed a C-Check and are over 3,000 flight hours, accomplish an initial inspection at the next Line Check 1 after 19 January 2006, unless already accomplished. Repeat inspections thereafter in accordance with the Requirement document. This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 19 January 2006. Background: The manufacturer received reports of damaged and migrating bushes on the main landing gear trailing arm.
