AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Dornier 328 Series Aeroplanes
AD/DO 328/36 Passenger Seat Frame Attach Caps 1/2006
Applicability: Model 328-100 aircraft, equipped with B/E Aerospace Pax Seats Model part number 2524.519-( ) and part number 2524.520-( ).
Requirement: Inspect in accordance with Dornier Service Bulletin No. SB-328-25-412.
Note: LBA AD 2003-063 refers.
Compliance: Inspect within 100 flight hours after 19 January 2006. Thereafter at intervals not to exceed 8,000 flight hours or every 2C-Check.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 19 January 2006.
Background: The manufacturer received reports of seat frame attach cap failures.
