AD/DO 328/30 - Stick Pusher Disarm Switch/Light (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Dornier 328 Series Aeroplanes AD/DO 328/30 Stick Pusher Disarm Switch/Light 1/2006

Applicability: Model 328-100 aeroplanes with serial numbers 3005 to 3103 inclusive. Requirement: If not previously accomplished, inspect the stick pusher disarm switch/light on the centre pedestal and, if required, relocate the switch spacer on the RH miscellaneous panel 33VE in accordance with Fairchild Dornier Service Bulletin SB-328-27-279 dated 17 November 1998. Note: LBA AD 1999-054 refers. Compliance: No later than the next A-Check after the effective date of this Directive. This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 19 January 2006. Background: Protrusion of the disarm switch for the stick pusher due to a possible missinstallation could allow unintentional operation of the switch during entry into the cockpit. The status of the disarmed stick pusher is indicated by an OFF light in the pushbutton and by a CAS message PUSH DISARM. Resetting of the stick pusher is only possible on ground.
