Applicability: Model A109C with tail rotor blades Part Number 109-8132-01-107 with Serial Numbers prefixed A5- installed.
Requirement: Action in accordance with Agusta Bullettino Technico 109-105.
Note: RAI AD 97-090 refers.
Compliance: Within 25 hours time in Service after 12 May 1997.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 12 May 1997.
Background: This Directive is raised to inspect the bonding of the tail rotor blades tip fairing for voids and disbonding. Loss of a tip fairing will cause severe vibration, and may cause severe structural damage that may result in loss of control.
