AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/A320/100 Amdt 1 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
AD/A320/100 Amdt 2
Pilot Footrest and Actuator Attachment 9/2000
Applicability: All models A319, A320 and A321 without either Airbus Industrie modification 28472 or Airbus Industrie Service Bulletin A320-25-1225 incorporated.
Requirement: 1. Inspect in accordance with Airbus Industrie SB A320-25-1220; and
2. Modify in accordance with Airbus Industry SB A320-25-1225.
Note 1. DGAC AD 2000-256-145(B) refers.
Note 2. DGAC AD 1999-074-127(B) has been cancelled, and is referenced in the previous amendment.
Compliance: 1. Within 500 hours' time in service after 17 June 1999, or at 15 months since last inspected in accordance with the initial issue of this Directive; thereafter at intervals not exceeding 15 months; and
2. Before 31 October 2001.
This Amendment becomes effective on 7 September 2000.
