AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/AMD 50/22 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Baggage Compartment Fire Extinguisher 8/2002
Applicability: All Mystere Falcon 900 aircraft serial number 1 through 59 not incorporating Mod M3368 and Mod M874, Falcon 900 aircraft serial number 60 through 187 not incorporating Mod M3368, and Falcon 900EX aircraft not incorporating Mod M3368 or Service Bulletin F900EX-142.
Requirement: Incorporate a support assembly for the baggage compartment fire extinguisher discharge nozzle in accordance with:
Dassault Aviation Service Bulletin F900-279 Revision 1 (Mod M3368 and Mod M874) for Mystere Falcon 900 aircraft.
Dassault Aviation Service Bulletin F900EX-142 for Mystere Falcon 900EX aircraft.
Note: DGAC AD 2002-261(B) and DGAC AD 2001-192-034(B) Revision 1 refers.
Compliance: Within 330 flight hours after the effective date of this Directive, but, no later than 8 February 2003.
This amendment becomes effective on 8 August 2002.
Background: The manufacturer reports that the baggage compartment fire extinguisher nozzle can be damaged, resulting in insufficient distribution of the fire-extinguishing agent in the event of a compartment fire.
This amendment adds a requirement by the manufacturer to incorporate a modification not previously incorporated on certain serial number aircraft. Additionally both models of aircraft now have unique Service Bulletins to reflect the requirements.
