AD/AMD 50/3 Amdt 1
MLG Door Emergency Release Lever and Pin 8/89
Applicability: All models 50 and 900 aircraft.
Requirement: 1. Unless Requirement 2 has been accomplished, carry out a manual opening of the main landing gear doors in accordance with the instructions of the manufacturer Maintenance Manual; Work Card 480.0 Para. 3 for the model 50 and Maintenance Procedure 32-120 for the model 900. Check for broken MLG door emergency release pins.
2. Action in accordance with Service Bulletins: F50-208 for the Mystere-Falcon 50; and F900-52 for the Mystere-Falcon 900. Note 1: Compliance with Requirement 2 constitutes terminating action for this AD. Note 2: DGAC AD 88-140-006(B)R2 and DGAC AD 89-041-007(B) refer. Compliance: 1. Prior to the accumulation of 1000 landings.
2. Prior to the accumulation of 2000 landings.
Background: This Airworthiness Directive is prompted by reports of the MLG door emergency release pin breaking due to fatigue failure. An inspection plus a modification that replaces the release lever and splined pin, has been introduced by the manufacturer to prevent the possible inability to carry out an emergency extension.
