Applicability: All model AS 355 helicopters fitted with tail rotor blades 350A.12.0030.00 to .05. Requirement: Action in accordance with Aerospatiale Workcard AS 355 No. 64.10.00.601. Note: Bureau Veritas AD 82-25-4(B) refers.
Compliance: A. For blades between 0 and 100 hours time in service since new or overhaul:
Before further flight and thereafter at intervals not exceeding 10 hours time in service until accumulation of 100 hours time in service.
B. For blades with more than 100 hours time in service since new or overhaul: Within 10 hours time in service after 24 March 1982. Background: The manufacturer has reported several cases of severe bonding separation of the leading edge stainless steel protectors.
