SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Airtractor 800 Series Aeroplanes
AD/AT 800/4 Rudder Control Cables and Fairleads 10/2002
Applicability: Models AT-802 and AT-802A aircraft, serial numbers 802-0001 through 802-0081. Requirement: Replace the rudder control cables and fairleads in accordance with Snow Engineering
Company Service Letter No. 199, dated 30 May 2000.
Note: FAA AD 2002-15-06 Amdt 39-12834 refers.
Compliance: Within 500 hours time in service after 3 October 2002, unless already accomplished.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 3 October 2002.
Background: The FAA received a report of rudder control cable failure due to cable wear at the aft fairlead. This Directive requires replacement of rudder control cables and fairleads with parts of improved design.
