COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Boeing 737 Series Aeroplanes
AD/B737/216 Flightcrew Oxygen Masks 9/2003
Applicability: All Model 737-600, 737-700, 737-700C, 737-800, 737-900 series aeroplanes.
Requirement: Revise the Non-Normal Procedures section of the Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM) by replacing the following text:
''Rapid Depressurization (With airplane altitude above 14,000 feet M.S.L.). Oxygen Masks & Regulators-ON, 100%'' With revised text as follows: "Cabin Altitude Warning or Rapid Depressurization
Condition: The cabin altitude warning horn sounds: Oxygen Masks & Regulators ON, 100%" The rest of the steps under this heading in the AFM are unchanged.
The foregoing may be accomplished by inserting a copy of this Directive into the appropriate section of the AFM.

Compliance: Within 90 days after the effective date of this Directive.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 4 September 2003.
