AD/B737/73 Cabin Overhead Stowage Bins 2/93
Applicability: Model 737 series as listed in Boeing ASB 737-25A1283 Revision 1, Boeing SB 737- 25-1291 and Boeing SB 737-25-1294.
Requirement: Action in accordance with the technical requirements of FAA AD 92-19-16 Amdt 39- 8374.
Compliance: Unless already accomplished, as specified in the Requirement Document.
Background: The FAA requires reinforcement of the overhead stowage bins and modification of the overhead stowage bin components. Testing has demonstrated that the bins are not able to withstand ultimate load at the current maximum allowable weight levels.
