AD/B737/78 Evacuation Slide Valise 13/93
Applicability: Model 737-200, -300, -400 and -500 series aircraft equipped with BFGoodrich evacuation slides, as listed in BFGoodrich Service Bulletin 101658/659/660-25-257.
Requirement: Modify the evacuation slide valise in accordance with BFGoodrich Service Bulletin 101658/659/660-25-257.
Note: FAA AD 93-17-03 Amdt 39-8673 refers.
Compliance: Prior to 7 October 1996.
Background: The FAA received three reports of evacuation slide inflation pressure loss. The pressure loss was found to be due to the failure of the aspirator to close and seal, after the battery test lead was ingested. As a consequence the slide was rendered inoperative.
