Requirement: Action in accordance with the technical requirements of FAA AD 91-22-05 Amdt 39- 8065. Note: Boeing SB 747-25-2734 refers. Compliance: As specified in the Requirement Document. Background: The FAA has received reports of several injuries that resulted from overhead stowage compartment doors freefalling or swinging open faster than expected after unlatching because the doors were only partially restrained. This condition, if not corrected, could result in inadvertent or unrestrained opening of overhead stowage compartment doors, which could result in injury to passengers or flight attendants.
