Requirement: Action in accordance with the technical requirements of FAA AD 99-10-09 Amdt 39- 11162. Compliance: As specified in the Requirement Document for the initial and repetitive inspection requirements with a revised effective date of 12 August 1999. This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 12 August 1999. Background: The FAA received reports of fatigue cracks on the aft surface of the wing front spar web. Such fatigue cracking could result in a fuel leak, and consequent increased risk of fire.
