COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/B767/14 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Boeing 767 Series Aeroplanes
AD/B767/14 Amdt 1
Fin Access Door 1/2005
Applicability: All models.
Requirement: Action in accordance with Boeing S.B. 767-52-0042 Rev 02 or later FAA approved revision.
Note: FAA AD 86-19-07 refers.
Compliance: Prior to 30 November 1987.
This Amendment becomes effective on 20 January 2005.
Background: This modification is to ensure that the vertical fin will not fail in the event of rupture of the aft pressure bulkhead.
This amendment is issued to update the referenced service bulletin revision status. All Australian registered aircraft should have already complied with this AD. The amendment is issued so that no confusion will occur in the future about which revision of the service bulletin should have been used to accomplish the modification.
The original issue of this AD became effective on 30 November 1986.
