Requirement: Relocate the engine electronic control switches in accordance with the requirements of Boeing Service Bulletin No. 767-73-0024. Note: FAA AD 88-07-02 refers. Compliance: (1) Aeroplanes incorporating the requirements of FAA AD T87-13-51 - Prior to 31 December 1989. (2) Aeroplanes not incorporating the requirements of FAA AD T87-13-51 - Prior to issue of an Australian Certificate of Airworthiness. Background: This Directive requires relocation of the engine electronic control switches (EEC) to prevent inadvertent fuel control switch shut off in lieu of EEC switch actuation. This requirement follows two overseas incidents of inadvertent engine shut down in flight, when the crew operated the fuel control switches to shut off instead of operating the EEC switches.
