COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY
SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
Boeing 767 Series Aeroplanes
AD/B767/37 Brake Metering Valve Module Shaft 7/90
Applicability: Model 767 series aeroplanes with line positions 1-131, 133-135, 137-147, 149, 155-
157, and 159-161.
Requirement: Unless already accomplished replace aluminium brake metering valve module with steel shafts in accordance with Boeing Service Bulletin 767-32-0081.
Note: FAA AD 89-26-01 Amdt 39-6416 refers.
Compliance: Within 750 landings after 12 July 1990 or prior to the accumulation of 15,000 landings, whichever occurs later.
Background: Fractures of brace metering valve module aluminium shafts have occurred on model 757 series aeroplanes. The model 767 has similar shafts, and incorporation of steel shafts will prevent a potential loss of braking.
