COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
Boeing 767 Series Aeroplanes
AD/B767/40 Aft Equipment/Lavatory/Galley Ventilation Fan Wire Bundles
Applicability: All Boeing 767 series aeroplanes as detailed in the Requirement document.
9/90
Requirement: Re-route the aft equipment/lavatory/galley ventilation fan wire bundles along the frame assembly at Stn 1540 IAW Boeing ASB 767-21A0074.
Note: FAA AD 90-08-13 also refers.
Compliance: Prior to 6 September 1991.
Background: This AD is prompted by a report of charred insulation blankets aft of station 1540 which resulted from arcing and burning of damaged wire bundles. This condition, if not corrected, could result in a fire behind the aft cargo compartment wall. Compliance with this AD is required in order to minimise the possibility of inadvertent damage to the wire bundles.
