Applicability: Model 767 series, as listed in Boeing SB 767-25-0137 Revision 1. Requirement: Modify the off-wing escape system IAW Boeing SB 767-25-0137 Revision 1. Note: FAA AD 92-07-12 Amdt 39-8208 refers.
Compliance: Prior to 4 November 1993.
Background: Reports have been received of operators being unable to adjust the travel on the actuator firing pins to obtain the required engagement, and insufficient connecting bolt length. The actions specified in this Directive are intended to prevent an inadvertent in-flight deployment, or failure to deploy when required for an emergency evacuation.
