COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
British Aerospace BAe 146 Series Aeroplanes
AD/BAe 146/60 Generator Feeder Cables 6/96
Applicability: This Directive is applicable to all Avro 146-RJ aircraft without modification HCM01532A incorporated.
Note: Modification HCM01532A will be embodied during construction on aircraft E2277, E2278, E3280 and subsequent.
Requirement: Incorporate modification HCM01532A in accordance with British Aerospace, Regional Aircraft Limited, Avro International Division Modification Service Bulletin SB.24-113-01532A dated 12 March 1996.
Note: This Modification Service Bulletin has been classified as Mandatory by the CAA(UK).
Compliance: At or before the next `A' Check, but no later than 31 July 1996.
Background: The size of the aircraft generator feeder cables between the AC1 and AC2 busbars and the generator contactors are incompatible with the generator output rating. This Directive requires that the existing 6ANC size cables are replaced with larger 4ANC size cables, decreasing the likelihood of feeder cables overheating and causing damage.
