COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

AD/BAe 146/93 Main Landing Gear Side Stay Inner Link Safe Life

Applicability: BAe 146 Series 100 and 200 aircraft, equipped with main landing gear side stays 200884 Series as listed in Messier Dowty Service Bulletin 146-32-153.
Requirement: Action in accordance with BAE Systems Service Bulletin 32-166.
Note: UK CAA AD 005-05-2001 refers.
Compliance: As specified in the Requirement document.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 4 October 2001.
Background: The UK CAA requires compliance because the side stay inner links listed in the referenced Messier Dowty service bulletin have incorrect safe lives quoted in the Aircraft Maintenance Manual at Issue 73.
