Requirement: Action in accordance with Beechcraft Service Bulletin No 2217. Note: FAA AD 88-10-01 amendment 39-5904 refers. Compliance: Prior to the issue of the next Maintenance Release after 11 August 1988. Background: The manufacturer has received reports of engine power loss which resulted from loss of fuel pressure, caused by broken electric fuel boost pump vane material obstructing fuel flow in the engine driven pump. This AD requires the replacement of the electric fuel boost pump with a pump having improved vane material. Beech Aircraft Corporation are offering improved pumps on an exchange basis within a limited time period.
