Beechcraft 300 Series Aeroplanes
AD/BEECH 300/5 Aft Cowling Access Door 5/93 Applicability: Model 300 with serial numbers FA-2 through FA-211, and FF-1 through FF-19. Requirement: Action in accordance with the technical requirements of FAA AD 93-01-20 Amdt 39- 8474.

Compliance: Unless already accomplished in accordance with FAA AD 89-22-12; as specified in the Requirement Document.
Background: The FAA had received several reports of upper aft cowling access doors that opened in flight and separated from the aircraft. The Requirement Document introduces as a compliance option, a cowling door latch replacement kit that provides a level of safety equivalent to the cowling door retention modification required by AD 89-22-12.
