AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
AD/BEECH 36/46 Firewall Sealant 13/2000
Applicability: Model Serial Number A36 E-3113 through E-3231, E-3233 through E-3263, E-3265 through E-3267, E-3269, E-3271, E-3273, and E-3277. B36TC EA-594 through EA-644.
Requirement: Inspect in accordance with Raytheon Mandatory Service Bulletin SB 53-3375.
Note: FAA AD 2000-20-14 Amdt 39-11925 refers.
Compliance: Within 50 hours time in service after 28 December 2000, unless already accomplished.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 28 December 2000.
Background: The FAA received a report of firewall sealant found missing during a routine production process inspection.
